school violence

Violence is a social problem that is present in the actions within schools, in different forms among all stakeholders in the educational process. This should not happen, because school is a place of training of ethics and morals of the subjects included here, whether students, teachers or other employees.
But what we are coercive actions, represented by the power and authoritarianism of the teachers, coordination and direction on a hierarchical scale, with students in the middle of the professional conflicts that ultimately reflect in the classroom.
Moreover, violence emblazoned on city streets, to domestic violence, robberies, contraband, the white collar crimes has led young people to lose credibility in a fair and egalitarian society capable of promoting social development in equal conditions for all, making them violent, as these social models.
In schools, the relationships of the day to day should reflect respect for others, through their actions that led to friendship, harmony and integration of people, to achieve the proposed objectives in the political and pedagogical project of the institution.
Much is said about the fight against violence, however, leading to the letter, fight means war, bomb, battle, which does not provide a correct concept to revoke it. The very institutions that use public misconception, that principle should be the motivator for the lack of engagement of these actions.

Bring this issue to the classroom from the early grades is a way of working with a controversial issue present in our lives, providing opportunities for moments of reflection that will assist in social transformation.
With clippings from newspapers and magazines, research, movies, music, cartoons, TV news, among other teachers can raise questions on the topic of a possible way to create an environment of respect for others, whereas those involved in the educational process must participate and engage in that action, so that it does not become contradictory.

After all, credibility and trust are the best ways to show for children and youth that they can overcome the challenges and problems that life presents.
